Club Night - "Our Website" by Neil G4OAR

Wednesday 11th April 2007

An opportunity for members to catch-up on the developments of the Club Website, was how Neil approached Wednesday's talk.  Once the initial framework was working, it was important to lay down certain rules and disciplines and these were explained as the evening unfolded.

During the last 18 months a lot of new features and useful links have been added to the site which is often updated many times a week.  With the explosion of the internet and the addition of the RSS feed from the BBC for World, UK and Technology news, plus many other items of local or 'radio related' news on our Club Members Page .. it is not surprising that it's popularity continues to grow.

With some 80,000+ page requests a month, it's many facilities and options have clearly made it an ideal default web page for many users internet browser.

There are comprehensive stats. available from Merseyworld, our web host, and Neil took the opportunity to show everyone just how popular our Club website really is .. bringing in hundreds of visitors from both our local area and around the world 24/7.
