WADARC Presentation & Awards Evening 2008

 

Our annual Hot Pot, Presentations and Awards evening took place on Wed 8th October.  Sadly, this year there were only two entries for the construction contest.  Once again the Judges had some difficult decisions to make.

Both members introduced their entries and finished with questions from the audience. As is now traditional, a superb Hot Pot was served just after 9pm.  After the food. the presentations began.

Thanks to Gordon G8MMM, our Chairman, for hosting a thoroughly enjoyable evening, Laura and Chris for their time spent on a superb culinary production, and to Eric for his assistance in the kitchen.

Chris M1EEV this year once again won the Glen Dobie Shield for "Best Fox" hiding place.

Phil G6IIM receives what is to become the "Sunday Shield" for his team on the re-instatement of the Sunday DF Hunt.

Jim M0BAS won the 10th Anniversary Trophy for "Services to the Club" by a non committee member.  It was for his continued dedication in bringing new people into the hobby by successfully getting them through the various exams.
