Christmas Night Out - Friday 5th Dec 2008

A return to the Cherry Orchard (under new management) proved an excellent decision by the committee, and this year Gordon managed to negotiate an first class deal which was £2 down on 2007.  It couldn't have been more welcome in the current economic climate, and once again support from across the membership echoed it's approval by attending a 'top evening'.  It was again most rewarding to see so many XYL's at the event.

It has become one of the premier social events in our Club calendar, and 2008 proved to be no exception.  The food was plentiful and excellently cooked, the Cherry Orchard management and staff were extremely attentive to our requirements, with some good deals at the bar.  Topped up with great company round the tables it had all the magic ingredients of a winner !

Our thanks to Gordon G8MMM for all the time and effort he put into organising the evening, including sourcing a fine raffle, and his attention to detail which clearly made the evening the success it undoubtedly was.
