Congratulations to Denis G3UVR .. came top in UK 50MHz contest held 9th April 2020

worth 1,000 points to Wirral & District .. Well done Denis !

And Again Denis came top in the 2.3GHz contest on the 28th April with another 1,000 points

After a few days in dock, we are pleased to report that Denis is back home again fitter than ever

and was heard on 432MHz UKAC contest last night .. Well Done Denis  Can't keep a good man down !

There are currently 75 clubs in the General Section & 37 Clubs in the Local Section with 627 individual stations taking part.

Please be aware that on 2m there are some spot frequencies which are named in the 144MHz Band Plan which it would be wise to avoid for the UKAC contest :-

Firstly, NO SSB below 144.150MHz or you will lose points !

Specifically  144.370 which is the MGM calling Frequency

(MGM is machine generated mode activity such as JT65 and FSK441)

but also consideration should be shown for:-

144.175 Microwave talkback
144.195 to 144.205 Random MS SSB
144.200 Random MS SSB calling frequency
144.250 GB2RS news broadcast .. but not yet heard on a Tuesday night !
144.260 Maybe used for Emergency Communications and Community Events
