Unfortunately, the change of venue and date of the Leicester rally forced this event off its usual "second Sunday in September" slot at relatively short notice and the DF Challenge moved to the third Sunday. It was a little worrying from a weather point of view as it was a week closer to Autumn. However, our concerns were groundless and we enjoyed a warm sunny day.

 Thanks to those who did manage to make it. With all the chopping and changing of dates, it was understandable that numbers taking part would be low. This plus illness (plus childbirth!) saw 4 teams making it to the start of the morning event. Well done to Team G3UVR (Dennis & Frank) for winning gold with their trusty passive gear and Team G6IIM (Phil & Gordon) for the most original excuse for not winning - something to do with Sat-Nav design?
 
 Five teams started the afternoon hunt and all the teams elected to seek out GW4BKF first. Although Team G3UVR arrived first just 5 minutes ahead of G8ZHA, Rich upped the tempo in the search for GW4NCI and arrived at Bob's lair to take first place.
 
 All in all a good day - great weather, clear roads and plenty to lie about!
